Hey there fellow makeup enthusiasts! Have you ever been to a makeup trade show? If not, boy are you missing out! I recently attended the IMATS LA 2016 and let me tell you, it was a makeup lover's paradise.

Amazing Artistry

One of the things I loved most about the trade show was the incredible artistry on display. From prosthetics to body painting, there were some seriously talented people there. One booth that particularly stood out to me was ProAiir Body/FX Makeup. Their booth was adorned with stunning examples of their work and the artists were so friendly and knowledgeable. I couldn't resist picking up a few of their products to try at home.

Learning Opportunities

Another great thing about these trade shows is the opportunity to learn new techniques and tricks of the trade. There were several workshops available at IMATS LA, covering everything from daily makeup to special effects. I attended a workshop on airbrushing and it was so helpful! The instructor was incredibly knowledgeable and made the process seem so easy. I can't wait to try out my new skills on my next makeup look.

Networking with Industry Leaders

Lastly, these trade shows offer invaluable networking opportunities. I was able to meet and chat with some industry leaders at IMATS LA, which was such an amazing experience. I also picked up some tips on how to market my own makeup artistry business from The Hair & Makeup Artist Network's booth. They had some awesome marketing materials and I left feeling inspired to take my business to the next level.
